Gentle Women

A gentle woman with blonde curls and hazel eyes,
Lifts her head to see above the crowd.
Amongst them, handsome men, feisty flowers,
But the only thing she looks for,
Is the man in white.

A man in white.
As if prepared to wed.
He has met her before and knows of her.
But he does not know her, he does not know her.

He seems scared to know of what she’s done.
In the sense that he might love her.
But that’s taken away by,
His blind trust.

His blind trust.
It feeds him with a sense,
A sense of security and loving care,
But he does not know about gentle women,

He does not know about gentle women.
How they gently break to,
Release shards of,
Glass.

Glass.
He does not,
Know about gentle women.
And how when they break things,
The broken things, they tend to last.

They tend to last.
