Cristina would have been the most beautiful baby girl.
I’d teach her many things that I wish I’d been taught.
Like how boys can hurt you, but sometimes you hurt them too.
And when you do, apologies sometimes won’t see it through.
I’ll tell her to share, but don’t share your heart.
Don’t give your heart away and wait for him to play his part.
Because if he finally does, when you finally do.
Because if he finally does, when you finally do.
You might not be satisfied, You don’t know what you could lose.
She’ll know not to steal things, and not to throw fits.
Because you can’t always get things, or let weak spirits give in.
And ladies don’t wait patiently, nor take the prize.
They appreciate the answer, and move on with their lives.
And I’d tell her that her daddy taught me something,
And it was not expect the things that are to come.
Because sometimes when you do.
A baby girl named Cristina, will never be seen through.
